Principles

Folks that know us well and have worked with us, know we’re what you might call freaks.  A decent chunk of time and effort we spend helping retailers implement is oriented to instilling a set of principles, which guide our thinking and, hopefully over time, our clients.

Julia Galef, in her brilliant book, The Scout Mindset, beautifully outlines the paradox of in a chapter aptly named, “How To Be Wrong”…

Many sound obvious and that you know them already.  But “knowing” a principle, in the sense that you read it and say, “Yes, I know that,” is different from having internalized it in a way that actually changes how you think.
